4 Scriptures to Calm the Busy Seasons

4 Scriptures to Calm the Busy Seasons

There is not a mom that I have met who hasn't talked with me about how difficult life is when they are in a season of busyness. It seems to be the topic of many conversations today. As a matter of fact I see so many women who feel stuck, nearly paralyzed, when they face the busy seasons of life.

As a work-at-home homeschooling mother of three, I have my fair share of busy times. And no matter what we do, it seems like everything always hits at the same time: looming work deadlines, tough seasons of character training with the children, state reporting deadlines for our homeschool, and the list goes on and on.

What's a mom to do?

While I don't have all the answers, I do know one thing: Meditating on God's Word aligns my heart with God's peace and will for my life. And you know what? It works every single time. In the 20 years I have been walking closely with Jesus, His Word has never failed me. And today I want to share with you 4 Scriptures to calm the busy seasons.

4 Scriptures to Calm the Busy Seasons

22 Cast your cares on the lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22 NIV

There have been so many times where the simple act of obedience (casting my care upon the Lord) has given me peace, strength, and the willingness to go on.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15 NIV

Allowing God's peace into my heart through thankfulness has been a huge blessing for me in any season of life - particularly busy seasons. By memorizing God's Word, I am able to walk in His peace no matter how crazy things around me may be.

31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31 NIV

I know during times when our lives are full, I long for nothing but the promise of God's strength. Every time I read this verse I get chills all over my body. This verse is a great source of strength for me when I am tired because of all life brings my way.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9 NIV

This verse serves as a reminder of the hope we have in Jesus. God promises us that if we do not grow weary in doing good that He has a harvest of His goodness waiting for us. And I know this to be true. I cannot count the times that I have meditated on this verse and it carried me through to the end of a season of busyness. I am so thankful for His faithfulness!

While I do not believe life was intended to be busy all of the time, there is no doubt that there are many seasons of busyness in each of our lives. Rather than allowing these seasons of life to consume us or wear us down, we can hold onto God's Word as a reminder of His faithfulness. I encourage you to always keep His Word close to your heart and memorize the Scriptures that speak to you most. God is faithful and He will carry you through every season of life - even the busy ones!

In His Great Love,
