Trades of Hope {Giveaway}

Trades Of Hope

Trades of Hope is empowering women around the world and in the United States out of poverty and/or their dire circumstances by helping to create long term, sustainable business by selling their beautiful, hand-crafted products! The consultants and the organizations they work with practice fair trade principles and are committed to the artisans and their families well-being spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.  As Compassion Entrepreneurs, their job is to advocate for their artisans by sharing the stories behind their products and lending their voice for those who have no voice.

Words from Jaimie Stepro (Consultant for Trades of Hope):

I recently began working with an anti-sex trafficking organization in southern CA and helped them develop a product (the Redeemed Necklace) for Trades of Hope. It is so humbling to work alongside these incredible survivors! While their stories are amazing and the changes in their lives awe-inspiring, we still need more voices to help us tell their stories and share their products so they can continue to earn an honest living. A friend of mine eloquently stated that we extend a "dignified partnership" to the artisans, not one of pity or charity but a dignified partnership where they feel respected and noshame.

Made in Nepal - 70x20 Hand-loomed silk and cotton.

Scarf

Jaimie sent me a scarf to wear for myself that was made from these artists in Nepal and I just LOVE it!  It is truly stunning!   The colors are bright and beautiful, and the fabric feels soft and is hand-loomed.  You can wear this several ways or even add it to an accessory such a handbag or purse.  It would also make a wonderful gift for someone you love!   My 9 yr old daughter is even loving it, she has wore it several times.

I think buying products from ministries such as Trades of Hope is such a beautiful thing!  To know that we are helping other women in this world feed their children and give them some dignity and hope is wonderful. Nepal is one of the poorest countries and women are stolen and sold into the sex trade by the thousands. These artisans are being trained to own their own business.

By buying these scarves you are creating a market that allows these hard working women to be entrepreneurs that can feed their families.  You can find the scarves here to buy and they retail for 26.00.

You can support/get involved with TOH ie Shop. (Jaimie's online store) Host. (host a party in your home, online or through catalogs and earn awesome hostess rewards as a thank you!) and Join.
