Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

When you are struggling to trust God

When you are struggling to trust God

Over the last handful of years, I have struggled to find peace in the midst of heartbreaking circumstances while my husband went through cancer treatments. One day I'd be okay and the next, well, not so much. I'd pray desperately and feel settled for a few hours or maybe even a few days and then out of nowhere the questions and the worry would resurface. Life can be hard. And it can shake us at times. Even when we aren't facing life-altering circumstances, we have the every day stuff that threatens to steal our peace. Maybe it is a hard parenting moment, trouble with a friend or something difficult at church or work.

Whatever it is, it seems like we never learn once and for all how to trust God in every circumstance. Just when I think I have it down, something comes up that has me struggling with fear and anxiety again. But you know, there is something I have realized as the years have gone by and the seasons have come and gone, whether facing life-altering terrible things or just the everyday things that threaten to steal my peace, the time I spend with God today matters for tomorrow. As I turn to Him again and again, He is teaching me to trust Him and I am growing whether I realize it at the moment or not.

That my friend, is why my brand new devotional with Karen Ehman is a lifeline for finding peace in your every day. It is the reason we wrote the devotional in the first place.

We never figure out how to trust God perfectly but it is a daily walk with Him where He strengthens our faith and gives us hope.

Releasing today, our new devotional is called:

There are things that I face today that I'd never imagined being able to handle several years ago. But God has strengthened my faith over the years as I've gone to Him and as I've spent time knowing Him. As Psalm 9:10 says, โ€œThose who know your name trust in You for you have never forsaken those who seek you.โ€ I know His name-- He is faithful. He is kind. He is trustworthy. He is healer. He is sovereign. I know His name because I keep going to Him and learning about Him. The time with Him today matters for tomorrow.

Thank you for your support as we help women everywhere walk closer with God and learn to cling to Him in all the things.

XO,

Ruth
