Teaching Our Children the Bible Can Be Fun!

Teaching Our Children the Bible Can Be Fun!

Disclosure: This post is published in partnership with Winsome Truth, Inc. in exchange for honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Teaching our children the Bible can be somewhat intimidating. We can struggle with knowing when to start teaching them, how to teach them, and what resource we should use to teach them. I will be the first to say that the number of options to choose from can be overwhelming.

But it is never too early to start and never too late to start!

Over the years we have used several different children’s Bibles with our children, at all different ages, and if there is one thing I could encourage you with is to just start. No matter what age, whether they are very young or they are a tween, it is never too early and never too late. I would also encourage you not to spend so much time trying to pick the perfect resource to use. There are a lot of years ahead to try all different devotionals and children’s Bibles.

Learning the Bible CAN be fun and engaging for our kids. Children do learn differently so anything that can help to meet them on their level with beautiful Bible truths is so exciting to me!

As I have said before, one of my very favorite perks of being a blogger is that I have the privilege of getting a first peek at some of the amazing resources that are releasing. And you know….when I find a book or Bible I love, I can’t wait to share it with you!

The Laugh and Learn Bible for Kids is the perfect example of that. It walks children right through the Bible in 52 five minute Bible stories pointing to the gospel every step of the way!

Here is what the backcover says (much better than I can!):

Learn about Jesus and grow in your relationship with Him through fifty-two whimsical Bible stories-each readable in just five minutes! Explore the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and spark faith-building conversations as you connect the dots between your favorite Bible stories and God’s good news.

One of my very favorite things about the Laugh and Learn Bible for Kids is the unique and fun voice that it is written in with Phil Vischer, the founder of Veggie Tales, as the author. I had the privilege many years ago to sit down with Phil and he has a sincere heart to reach children with the truth of the Bible. That has been evident over the years and really comes through in the Laugh and Learn Bible.

With the Laugh and Learn Bible, children can journey through the Bible in a year with some added extra bonuses like, a family connection section that helps you explore, talk and pray together as a family, clues to help you understand where each section of the Bible fits in with God’s big story, colorful maps and charts, and a clear display of the gospel throughout.

You can check out the brand new Laugh and Learn Bible below.

Teaching our children the Bible starting at an early age has been a blessing and a joy as we watch them grow older and develop in their faith. When they were little and still today, we have found that consistent time reading through devotionals and children’s Bibles with our kids have been the best way for them to learn. It isn’t always easy to be consistent, but if we miss a day, we pick back up the next. Giving them truth for today to prepare them for tomorrow is essential.

Before you know it, as the years go by, you have consistently built their lives up with truths for a God-honoring life.

XO,

Ruth
