Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

Don't Read This if You Haven't ...

read-bible-first...spent time with Him this morning.

With God. In His Word. Really talking to Him. And listening. And letting it all sink in.

I'm not trying to be legalistic here... Of course it doesn't have to be first thing, but more pointing to the principle of keeping time spent with God-- First Thing.

I'm struck by the swirl of online words these days, and many are valuable and they help us walk even closer with our Lord. But I also know myself, and am guessing I'm not alone in how quickly even good things crowd out what is--

Best.

So before the parenting post- Let Him speak in parenting wisdom.

Before the marriage article-- Go to God and seek out answers.

Before the Facebook prayer plea-- Pursue the One who says "pour out your heart to me."

And really I'm just preaching to myself because I want to value time with Him the way it should be valued.

So let me avoid making this piece any more ironic than it already is--

Pause with me. But better yet-- Pause with Him. Let's pause and stay the impulse to quickly-click-our-way-to-the-next-thing.

I thank you God for Your Word.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." ~ 2 Tim. 3:16-17

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." ~Psalm 119:105

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." ~ Joshua 1:8

"For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." ~Romans 15:4

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." ~Hebrews 4:12

"Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law." ~Psalm 119:18

"With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." ~Psalm 119:10-11

"In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid." ~Psalm 56:4

"The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward." ~Psalm 19:7-11

Oh Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer, I pray today... That the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart would be pleasing and acceptable in Your sight. Love, Kara
