Going gluten free isn’t easy. If you have tried, you know exactly what I mean. If you haven’t tried, it is because you also know exactly what I mean.
For a long time I just wouldn’t even entertain the thought of going gluten free. But after hearing over and over and over again how it was much better for your digestive system and all of the health benefits that come from being gluten free, coupled with the asthma that plagues a few of our children, I decided it was time to give it a try. And you know what? After doing a 30 day Paleo challenge, I discovered that going gluten free wasn’t nearly as difficult as I had made it up to be. It is a matter of making simple changes to your diet and discovering that you can have a full meal without a roll, or without a bun on that burger… or you can substitute your gluten for the “gluten-free” option. I was thrilled by how much better I felt. The two main things I noticed were no bloating at the end of the day (ladies can I get an amen?!?!) and more energy.
You may be thinking (like I was)….Is it even possible to find a good gluten-free option?? I admit it is difficult to find a great tasting “gluten-free” substitute for what you are currently eating, but there are a few good choices. One of them is Udi’s Gluten Free products.
I mean just look at all that YUMMY food! And guess what?? It is really good. Udi’s sent me a whole box of food to try, and I admit I was a little skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised. The true test wasn’t me. It was my children. And they LOVED everything Udi’s sent us. Udi’s has all sorts of food options from muffins to bread to granola bars and pizza crusts.They also have a great website to explore… I especially love the recipe section.
So how about you?? Are you ready to take the “gluten-free” plunge? I highly recommend going 30 days without any gluten or gluten free substitutes, and then slowly introducing some of the gluten-free options like Udi’s.
