Surprising Help for a Healthier Home ~ {and a $50 Giveaway!} {giveaway closed}

Apples We all want to be healthier, right?

I do.  I spend a lot of time working on Healthy Recipes and Clean Living.

But like I've shared before, healthy living can go too far.

When you've got a child with Asperger's (a form of autism) and life threatening food allergies, it's easy to spend a lot of time on things like healthy food and clean living.

Sometimes too much time.

Sometimes it's important to stop.

Take a look around.

And see what's missing.

Today I want to share a "change of course" in my life and a new holistic focus on what a healthy home is.

But first--confession time.

I used to kind of "pooh pooh" conversations about decorating and colors and stuff like that.

And didn't really like decor focused around "uplifting themes".

You know....like having words like "Family" "Faith" and such on mantels.

Or Christian-themed wall hangings.

I used to think that spending money on such things was well....frivolous.  Maybe a missionary somewhere needed something, right?

(Or maybe we needed the money for supplements.)

Well, last month, I happened across Blessings Unlimited and--

Something about these products was different.

Next thing I knew I was had a consultant in my home.

Soon after, I signed up.

For my family's health and to be a blessing to others.

Here are just a few things that have happened in our family with the Blessings Unlimited products since I first saw them.

The Blessings Door Bucket

Door Bucket

A consultant brought Blessings items to our home.  I thought the door bucket looked nice, but wasn't sure it would work for us.

My oldest, however, read the words on the bucket:

As you enter through our door we ask the Lord to greet you with peace and comfort joy of heart and blessings sweet and new.

He said, "Wouldn't that be nice to have on our door when people come over?"

Guess what's on our door now.

I love it.

Blessings Blocks

Blessings Blocks Blessings Unlimited

Interchangeable blocks that spell out words of blessings.

One night, my youngest held these and said, "Mom, everyone should have a set of these!"

Then, though he has dyslexia, one night he asked us to stay up late to teach him phonics with the blocks--something that has always led to tears.

Not this time.

We did phonics for about 30 minutes and again the next day.  With lots of smiles :-).

Grace and Gratitude Mug

Blessings Unlimited Mug

This mug is a little "frilly" for my taste, but every morning I reach for it.

Something about the reminder of being grateful first thing in the morning.

I need that first thing in the morning :-).

Now, it's not that I'm not into Healthy Recipes, Clean Living, and Frugality anymore--for proof, see:

It's just that I'm learning.

About balance.

Sometimes I'm a slow learner.

In the interest of sharing the good that I've found with Blessings, I offering to one lucky blessed reader, $50 towards anything in the Blessings catalog.

Can't wait?  Now through June 30, get 15% off anything in the catalog.  Refunds will be processed via Paypal.  If you don't have Paypal, contact me at wholenewmom {at} gmail {dot} com and we can work something out.
