The Beginner's Bible 25th Anniversary

Are you looking for a Bible for your child? Today we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Beginner's Bible! One of our very favorites!

We are the type of family who likes to make Bible time meaningful and engaging. In fact, my husband and I are very picky about which resources we use to teach our children biblical principals and when it comes to children's storybook Bibles, we are extra cautious.

While we understand the need for simplicity in children's Bibles, we are also careful to note important inaccuracies within them that could hinder our children from Truth. An engaging, glamorous looking Bible is meaningless if it doesn't hold Truth.

Obviously a children's Bible will be slimmed down in order to maintain a child's attention and understanding. But it's important it's foundation isn't tampered with.

Laying a biblical foundation for children at a young age is crucial in training them in the Lord. Bible reading should be a natural part of Christian family life and The Beginner's Bible makes this easy and fun.

My 4-year old has really enjoyed the colorful, engaging pictures and simple stories in The Beginner's Bible. And he is so excited to have a Bible of his VERY own!

The stories are simple, yet accurate. It gives children a great foundation for God's truth, which will continue to be built upon as they grow and mature.

What I love is some of the text, the particular words chosen, are very similar to a full version Bible which will help continue the familiarity of Bible reading as children grow into different versions.

The Beginner's Bible has been a great resource for families for the past 25 years and out of it has come some other great resources, including it's own curriculum, and even a website

There are a variety of ways to help your young child learn and engage in Bible stories using The Beginner's Bible and it's resources.

You'll find an array of free printables on The Beginner's Bible website:

  • Stickers
  • Mazes
  • "Let's Read Together" activities
  • Coloring sheets

  • And more!

The Beginner's Bible has also been modified for toddlers and created as full text in KJV and NiRV translations.

There is also an app you can get for the iPad, with coloring, games, and some of the Bible stories animated, with the option to add more.
