Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

Prayer for the Stressed and Weary Mom

Prayer for the Stressed and Weary Mom

Dear friend, I am one of your tribe.

I am a weary mom, asking the Lord for strength to make it through this day. I have no idea how I'll make it through the busy week ahead, so I try not to think about it.

I realize I am in over my head. Way over. Just like you.

But, I have also asked the Lord to use me.

I have given Him my life, my talents, my family, my health, and my strength to use for His glory.

I am not sure how to reconcile all of this... how my surrender and my weariness all works together to honor Him. I am still learning. Learning to take one moment at a time.

On this journey, I've discovered that the prayers of others bless me and strengthen me in ways that normal conversation never does. And while I'd love to offer you gems of wisdom... the "How Tos" and "3 Easy Steps" that lead you from stress to peace, from weariness to refreshment, today I realize the best I can offer you is prayer.

And friend, though I may or may not know you personally, I pray this with all my heart for you. I ask that the Holy Spirit will encourage your heart and allow you to know that He has the power to work blessing and peace and healing in your life, even though you and I are not in the same room together.

Will you allow me to pray with you?

Dear Lord,

My friend reading this is exhausted. She doesn't know where her strength is going to come from. Her body, mind, and soul need your touch.

She may be in a situation where the help she needs seems unattainable for her right now. Jesus, I ask that you would open the doors that need to be opened for her. If her health is an issue, please direct her to a place and method of restoration. For all the issues weighing down her mind and her spirit, Lord, provide sweet release. Bring godly counsel, wise friends, and caring embraces to help her shoulder her load. Holy Spirit, let my friend know that you are near, and use your people as agents of your love in her life.

I pray for rest in this woman's life. Lord, let her sleep be sound. And though the hours may be few, please multiply the rest that she gets to carry her through the day.

I pray for her nutrition. Please provide for her physical needs. Help her to know what nutrients her body needs, and please allow her to receive those things so she is strengthened to carry on.

I pray for my friend's family. Lord, you know how emotionally involved we moms are in our children's and husband's lives. She carries all of their burdens, joys, sins, and stresses in addition to her own. Jesus, help her lay each one of those cares at your feet. Give her faith to release them to you daily. Show her that you are God... all powerful, all knowing, and always loving. Help her to trust you and let go of the anxieties she battles.

Most importantly, I pray for my friend's relationship with you. Give her moments today in which she can open her Bible. Direct her to a passage of Scripture that encourages her heart. Speak your promises to her through your precious Word. Use this season of weariness and stress to create something eternally beautiful in her soul.

Friend, I echo Paul's prayer for the Ephesian believers for you: I pray that the Lord...

"...may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:16b-21)

Through Jesus, Amen.

Blessings,

Jennifer
