Hi, friend!

Hi friend! I am so glad you have stopped by the site. We have such a wonderful community of moms here and we would LOVE for you to join us as we share life and learn together!

Family Photography: Candid Moments & Storytelling

Okay, so by now you most likely have read one of my past posts on Craftsy. I have to say, as I continue to take their classes and share them with you, I am more and more impressed.  I didn’t expect to find such an extraordinary resource. But it is really an invaluable wealth of information and I am learning so much along the way!

Family Photography

As moms we are constantly trying to capture the moment with photos. Whether it is a soccer game, ballet recital or family birthday party, we are scrambling for our camera to catch a quick shot of the memories we are making. I see more and more moms (including myself) with these big "fancy" cameras. If you are anything like me, we know very little about how to actually use it for all it's worth! In this class, Family Photography instructor Kirk Tuck, literally takes you step by step through the basics of your camera and what each camera setting means. He then shows how to use your camera settings for different types of landscapes and events. This class is really such a great tool for anyone wanting to start right from the fundamentals of working with your camera to learning how to capture a story with your photos. It even includes an entire section dedicated to the editing of your photos and putting your final story together. Kirk is so easy to understand and follow along with.

My favorite overall aspect of this class is just how thorough it is in covering all of the basics of shooting successfully. Craftsy’s, Family Photography Class is really a fantastic class!

How to take candid family photos

Like I have said over and over again, one of the best things about taking the class online, besides the valuable information, was the ability to start the class and pause the class whenever I needed to. When the kids were in bed, or when I had a few minutes during the day to spare, I would sit down and watch a bit of the course in the comfort of my own home. It was so convenient! Craftsy is the perfect solution for us busy moms who want to learn, but don’t have time to leave the house and attend a class.
