9 Simple Ideas to Show God's Love on Valentine's Day & Better Mom Mondays Link-up!

9simpleideas_zps8eaa6b62 Valentine's Day is a great day to remind our children of just how much God really loves us AND it's a fun day to serve others and show them how much God loves them too.

I love being creative, but often time is limiting.   So here is a quick list of simple ideas that I'm hoping just might spark a little creative activity for you to show love to your family or your family to show others that God loves them. Just choose one or two and focus on making small feel important.

1.  Cut hearts from whatever paper you have and decorate them with markers, crayons, paint or glitter to make Valentines for the ones within your home.

2. Make a surprise balloon delivery to Daddy while he's at work, or your children at their school. Add a candy bar with a note that says how much you love them.

3. Write a love letter to grandparents and decorate with colored red hearts.

4. Deliver Valentines to your neighbors. Perhaps a few heart-shaped cookies could make their way into the bags.( I have some free Valentine printables HERE with Bible verses on them.)

5. Add splashes of red and pink to whatever normal table setting you use for dinner. Use candles and talk about how loving others can bring light into the world. This is what Jesus did for us!

6. Send a digital Valentine to someone in your cell phone directory that you haven't spoken with in some time. Snap a picture of something in the store that you know they would love and text them to say that you were reminded of them and said a prayer for them today.

7. Fill a simple glass jar with candy, tie a ribbon around the top, and drop it off to your pastor or children's ministry leaders. The note could say "God loves you and we do too!"

8. Leave a small bag of Hershey's kisses for the mailman in your mailbox with a thank-you note.

9. Make a simple dessert for your family. We don't typically have desserts on weeknights- so this is a treat in and of itself!

Do you have any simple tips for showing God's love to your family or others?  We'd love to hear about them today in the comments below.
