MomHeart & The Better Mom Book Club {amazing giveaway included!}

I am so excited to announce the MomHeart & Better Mom Book Club!! MomHeart had a book club study earlier this year, and it was a joy learning together and hearing thoughts about each chapter. With summer through, everyone’s children at least somewhat settled into their school routines, and fall drifting in, we are thrilled to turn our attention to this brand new book club!

Drumroll please … our book is … Dancing with My Father!

I am especially excited because if there was anyone I would want you to learn from it would be my sweet friend Sally Clarkson, founder of MomHeart and author of Dancing with My Father. The lovely Misty Krasawski, Community Director for MomHeart will be joining us as co-hostess, and we’ll be tossing the ball back and forth from site to site every week. Not only that, but we’ve created a Facebook group page which you can join, so we can all have a spot to talk about what we’re learning as we go along! More details on that later, though; here’s a bit about the book.

Motherhood is wonderful. It can also be overwhelming.

So how does a mom respond? How do we go on, day after day, caring for others when sometimes we would like nothing more than to snuggle under the covers and stay in bed?

Several years ago Sally Clarkson asked herself that very question. And the answer came as she carried on through her days, dialoguing with the Lord through His word about what it looked like to find joy in faithfulness as a woman and mother. In Dancing With My Father, she shares the principles she learned along the way!

Here’s the plan: we’re going to work our way through this book by reading two chapters each week. Every Tuesday Misty will share her thoughts at MomHeart, and on Thursdays I will share mine on the next chapter here at The Better Mom. There will be links at both sites, so no worries about keeping track—all the information will be available at both places. And then on Fridays, we’ll share questions and hear from one another in a somewhat-live “club” format!

This book club couldn’t come at a better time in my life…..I am an older mom of 3 beautiful children and another one on the way…..my oldest two have special needs and I find my way too often wondering if I am the only mom out there that is emotional drained from all the things we take on as mothers…..so I can’t think of a better way to take some much needed time for myself and spend it with other mom’s that put GOD first in our lives!!!
