I love the fourth of July! Probably a lot of it has to do with how much I love summer and the associations that come with it: no school, hot weather, lots of water play, days filled with friends and fun and watermelon, homemade ice cream…and the 4th of July just fits right in to all of those summer expectations.
Here are some great ways to make your 4th of July celebration even more fun.
Decor:
Patriotic Sand Candles from Martha Stewart
Free printable banner from At Second Street
Red, White & Blue Garland from Martha Stewart
Crafts with The Kids:
Make these windsocks with your kids using the tutorial from Random Thoughts of a SuperMom
Paper Lantern Kid’s Craft from The Crafting Chicks
DIY 4th of July Star Jars from Momtastic
Treats:
4th of July Cake Recipe from Libby Grove Designs
Firecracker Rice Krispy Treats from Grin & Bake It
Don’t forget to see Kelly’s 4th of July Menu Plan!
I hope you have as much fun with these ideas as I will!!
Happy 4th!
